Man Utd legend Keane in advanced talks with Republic of Ireland FA

Manchester United legend Roy Keane has held numerous meetings with the Irish FA recently.

Keane, who did not always have the best of relationships with the national team, may want to come back into management.

The Irish Examiner stated that he held three meetings with the FAI at various stages of the process.

Keane is still a candidate for the job, while his old teammate John O'Shea is in temporary charge.

Ireland are hoping they can find the ideal manager to lead the team into the upcoming World Cup qualifiers.

Ireland are not going to Euro 2024, as they did not have a successful qualifying campaign.
