 NFL Redzone Host Scott Hanson Set to Be Part of Historic Broadcast

NFL Redzone is arguably one of the most popular sports channels in all of America. Because of this, Scott Hanson has had his claim to fame in the sports broadcast world for a little over a decade. Now, he gets a chance to venture outside the league for his next historic broadcast. Read below to find out more about that.

Scott Hanson Hosting “Gold Zone” Olympic Broadcast

NBC Sports will look to replicate the success of the Redzone channel. They will attempt to do this by creating a similar broadcast to guide fans through the upcoming Paris Olympics. It will be a whiparound show that will show fans the best moments of the Olympics as they happen called “Gold Zone.”

Considering Scott Hanson has more than a decade of experience doing this for Redzone, he was the natural man for the job. Now, NBC will trust that his broadcast skills will transition for Olympic sports coverage.

Scott Hanson’s Broadcasting Experience

While Hanson is widely known as the Redzone host, he does have plenty of other broadcasting experience. He landed his first job in Traverse City, Michigan back in 1993. He even had a stint with NBC when he worked with WICS-TV. A few stops later, Hanson landed a reporter job with the NFL Network that eventually led him to the NFL Redzone job he has today.
